SWELL Kids
Ages birth through 2nd grade
It feels like there are so many challenges we face as kids, parents, and families that it can become overwhelming to try and make sense of it all alone. We believe children’s ministry is important and want it to remain a core focus of this church. Jesus even recommended to his grown-up, self-important disciples that to understand God’s Kingdom they need to observe, learn from, and imitate young children. We must be intentional about cultivating relationships between not only children and their families, but with other children and their families where we come along side each other in a shared life of the Kingdom of God.
JOY Kidz
1st & 2nd Grade
This is a vein of ministry that was started as a time to gather during class time on Sundays, but has blossomed into something beautiful and impactful for the Kingdom work Sulphur Well seeks to do on a regular basis. Not only do they meet during class time on Sundays for lessons from Scripture, they also intentionally engage in service activities outside the church building where they seek to practice loving others well. You and your child will experience at an early age what it looks like to bring hope and life to those often left unseen.
Middle Crew
3rd-5th grades
As we consider all the ways our children grow, we dream of raising kiddos with eyes to see and ears to hear the invitation to love others in the same way Jesus did. One of the greatest challenges Jesus has is to love God and others. This age group and the team of volunteers gather on Sundays during class time (9am) and again on Wednesdays (6:30pm). They are also involved in participating in service opportunities at Christmas time and helping with our Wednesday Night meal ministry as well as being open to whatever is set before them throughout the year. It is truly a life-giving ministry to be a part of at the Well.
SWYM (Sulphur Well Youth Ministry)
6th through 12th grades
SWYM is a youth group focused on cultivating identity, purpose, and belonging for those who allow us to share in their life. We believe creating space for others to wrestle with life's toughest situations allows us to embody life today in the same way Jesus taught his followers in the scriptures. SWYM provides a safe and supportive environment for teens to ask questions, be mentored by other generations, and be honest about what God is up to in their life so that they can be free to explore and deepen what God is calling them to do as they navigate their spiritual journey.
Through engaging activities, discussions, and mentorship, we want teens to understand their unique identity in Christ, discover their God-given purpose, and build lasting connections with peers and mentors. By fostering a sense of belonging, our squad seeks to empower young people to navigate life with confidence, rooted in faith, and equipped to use their spiritual gifts to make a positive impact for the Kingdom of God.
